These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and the purchase of products from Optimus Labs. By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Research Use Only
All products supplied by Optimus Labs are intended strictly for laboratory research purposes.
Products are not intended for human or veterinary use and are not marketed for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of any disease.
By placing an order, you confirm that you understand the intended research nature of the products and that you will not use them for human or veterinary application.
2. Eligibility & Legal Compliance
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years of age.
- You are legally permitted to purchase and possess the products in your jurisdiction.
- You will use, store, and handle the products in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at our sole discretion.
3. Product Information & Accuracy
Product descriptions, specifications, and purity levels are provided for informational purposes only.
While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, minor variations between batches may occur.
Batch-specific Certificates of Analysis are available where applicable.
4. Orders & Payment
All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.
Payment must be received in full prior to dispatch.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order where payment authorisation fails or where fraudulent activity is suspected.
5. Pricing
All prices are listed in GBP (£).
We reserve the right to amend pricing, product availability, or specifications at any time without prior notice.
6. Shipping
Shipping terms, delivery estimates, and dispatch information are set out on our Shipping page, which forms part of these Terms.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by courier services or events outside our reasonable control.
7. Risk & Title
Risk in the products passes to the customer upon delivery.
Title to the products remains with Optimus Labs until full payment has been received.
8. Limitation of Liability
Customers are solely responsible for ensuring appropriate handling, storage, and lawful research use of all products supplied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Optimus Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or economic loss arising from the purchase or use of our products.
Our total liability in connection with any order shall not exceed the total amount paid for that order.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, branding, product descriptions, and images, remains the property of Optimus Labs and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.
10. Product Reviews
We publish customer reviews on our product pages. This section sets out the rules that apply to them.
Who can leave a review. Only people who have genuinely bought and used the product. We invite reviews by email after an order has been delivered. We never ask for a positive review and we never tell reviewers what to write.
Fake reviews are prohibited. Reviews that do not reflect a real customer’s genuine experience are not permitted on this website, whether written by a customer, by someone connected to us, or on our behalf. We do not write, commission, or solicit them, and we remove any we identify.
We do not offer incentives. We do not give payment, discounts, free products, prize entries, or any other benefit in exchange for a review. Should that ever change, the incentive will be disclosed in the review itself. Incentivised reviews that conceal the incentive are prohibited in all cases.
Research-use rule. Our products are supplied strictly for laboratory research (see section 1). Reviews must not describe use in humans or animals, dosing or administration, or any therapeutic, physiological, or health effect. We cannot publish reviews containing that material. This is a legal requirement rather than an editorial preference.
How we moderate. Every review is checked before it is published. We publish genuine reviews whether they are positive or negative, and we do not edit the wording or sentiment of a review. We may decline to publish one that is fake, incentivised without disclosure, breaches the research-use rule above, is abusive or unlawful, contains personal data or advertising, or does not relate to the product being reviewed.
Reviews and complaints are different things. A review is feedback intended for publication on this website. A complaint is a request for us to put something right, and you can raise one at any time through our Contact page. Raising a complaint does not stop you leaving a review, and having a complaint resolved does not remove your right to leave one. We will not treat a negative review as a complaint in order to avoid publishing it.
Reporting a review. If you believe a review on this website is fake or misleading, contact us. We will investigate and remove it if the concern is upheld.
11. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on this page and will apply from the date of publication.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
